Dallas Dale Back                                                                                        

 

Dallas Dale Back, 58, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on December 5, 2007, after a very courageous fight with lung cancer.

He was born on September 14, 1949, in Holly, West Virginia to the late Norman Back and Dora (Castle) Back.

He graduated from East Bank High School, East Bank, West Virginia. He was a coal miner for 14 years and a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Dallas moved to Goshenin 1986 and was employed at Goshen Stamping Company for 20 years.                      

He married Marcella Hern, the love of his life, on August 25, 1969, in Parisburg, Virginia. During their 38 years of marriage, they had three daughters, whom Dallas cherished: Angela (DeWayne) Jordan, Goshen, Kimberly (Ronnie) Frost, Bristol, and Donna (Wayne) Lambert, Goshen.

Dallas also leaves ten grandchildren, whom he treasured; Justin, Jeremy, Jacob, Shelby, Kristen, Faith, Trace, Marcie, Cole, and Samuel.

Dallas is also survived by his mother, Dora Back, Elkhart and two brothers and three sisters: Virgil (Cathy) Back, Goshen and William (Becky) Back, Crab Orchard, West Virginia, Brenda (James) Foster, Chelyan, West Virginia, Nancy (Paul) Taylor, Belle West Virginia, and Rachel (Mark) Britton, Elkhart

Friends may call 5-8 pm Friday at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the funeral home. The Revs Ed and Brenda Fritz will officiate. Cremation will follow services.

Dallas was passionate for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was an avid West Virginia University Mountaineer football fan. Dallas attended the Goshen Life Center.
